Inspired by seasonings, Chef Lisa created Pinch & Dash knowing just how much a pinch of this and a dash of that can inspire a delicious and healthy meal.
Prior to her food career, Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in advertising from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Realizing she looked forward to coming home from her advertising job to cook for her husband and to throw dinner parties for friends and family, Lisa’s passion led to culinary school. With a background as a media buyer, but a passion for cooking, Lisa graduated Chicago’s Kendall College with a certificate in Personal Chef and Catering in 2008. Advertising was soon replaced with what she truly loves, being a personal chef.
Lisa first became interested in a culinary career when her sister was diagnosed with a gluten intolerance, known as Celiac disease. Lisa’s experience with celiac disease inspires her to cook healthy meals focusing on people with food intolerances and/or allergies. Lisa feels no one, despite their dietary restrictions, should ever miss out on a delicious meal!
